We have seen a lot of comments recently about how we can engage more with our members through social media. We understand that blogs are designed to be both informative and interactive. When we put thoughts here, we want to inspire discussion and comments from you.
Since we started this blog in January, the 2008 Leadership Team has posted a couple of times each week on a broad range of topics, and I am pleased to say that we have received dozens of comments – some positive, some critical. Considering how much we are traveling (I am in Italy right now), we won’t respond to every comment and question, but I assure you that we read ALL of the comments – even if we can’t post them or respond. EVP & CEO Dale Stinton also has been participating in discussions on other real estate blogs.
To all of the REALTORS® who are driving discussion in the blogosphere, I just want to say: “Keep up the great work and please participate in the discussion on this blog.” We want hear from you. I also encourage every member to engage in other ways, at the local, state or national level.

And please stop moderating the comments so strictly. I have left several comments and each time it is held in moderation; and this statement just doesn't seem honest.

I had a comment ready to go earlier, trying to find a politically delicate way to say this, but this is the best I can do:
Thank you for the post, Dick.
Blogging is a two-way conversation. Some people can lurk and not interact, but NAR simply does not have that luxury. NAR needs to get out and engage the blogs - respond, react, admit mistakes and make promises to get better ... and then deliver on those promises.
There is a culture of transparency and accountability on the blogs that is screaming for NAR's voice to be heard.
Nobody expects the LT to be blogging every day - you're all quite busy (as are we, frankly), but please at least respond to the comments here.
If all you are doing is listening what you're doing is not really relevant.
(And make this here text box bigger; it's a real pain to write a comment longer than 140 characters)

Hmmmm.... sounds like you are picking and choosing what comments to post? Or am I misinterpreting this statement?
I understand completely not being able to respond to all comments.
But I sincerely hope you are not selectively picking and choosing which comments to post...
