In Real Estate, Knowledge Is Power
In this edition of NAR’s President’s Podcast, 2007 President Pat Vredevoogd Combs asks, “How much do you know about the market, your clients and your competition?”
As NAR Chief Economic David Lereah pointed out in his latest housing forecast, every market and every housing cycle are different. Fortunately for REALTORS®, NAR’s Research Division provides some great insights to help you stay ahead of the competition – no matter what happens in the market.
Next month, we will be releasing our 2007 Member Profile, which features some surprising statistics on how REALTORS® are using the web. Also in the works is a survey that will show how many of the homes sold in 2006 were investment properties or vacation homes. NAR’s 2007 Profile of Home Feature Preferences also is being updated for the first time since 2004. Finally, NAR is working on an all-new report on first-time homebuyers, which will be released later this Summer. If you have ideas for questions you would like to ask, please e-mail Paul Bishop, NAR’s Director of Survey Research.
