Shaping Tomorrow’s Future Today

As 2006 NAR President Tom Stevens comes to the end of his term, he looks back on the past year’s accomplishments. NAR’s Realtor® members have been actively engaged in shaping the future of the real estate industry this year.

Realtors® are harnessing new technologies and embracing the Internet in their day-to-day businesses, and several new advisory and working groups have begun to consider how to transform existing resources, such as the multiple listing services, and apply new ones for the success of NAR’s members in this new environment.

NAR has been advocating for Realtors® in Washington, as well, with ongoing efforts to pass small-business health plan legislation and to keep banks out of real estate.

Realtors® themselves have stepped up by building homes for the Operation Home Delivery program, participating in calls to action, and staying abreast of legislative developments that affect their businesses and the real estate industry.

Thanks for a great year. 2007 President Pat Vredevoogd Combs takes over the microphone for the next President’s Podcast.
