One is the loneliest number

Life is getting lonelier and it’s lasting longer, at least according to a study done by a British lobbying group. According to the report, UK single households are currently at over 30% and growing. Other European countries show similar patterns, with Germany’s single household rate standing at a whopping 46%. However across the pond, things are not much different. China puts the brakes on runaway housing market

New real estate policies in populous China are expected to encourage developers to construct more middle to low income housing. Government officials are hoping to boost the supply of affordable housing, from it’s current level of 5% to more than 30%. One way in which they hope to accomplish this is to mandate that smaller apartment homes account for 70% of all new building projects. Builders have expressed their concerns over the new policy.

Properties which sold for 1-3 million added up to quite a tidy profit for the county. Mars and Venus go home shopping

According to a study by propertyfinder.com, not only do British men and women have different relationship styles; they also have very different house hunting styles. Male home buyers are more aggressive negotiators, and only about 5% will pay the full asking price. However females actually do less home shopping then the men on average. Women are usually better prepared, do more homework, and have a better idea of what they want in a home. Together they’re a perfect match.
