Safety Week is September 10-16, 2006. Learn how to protect yourself and your staff from criminals and harm. The following tips will make your work much safer--take a self-defense class, meet your clients at the office and get their identfying information, learn to make a quick exit if you feel uncomfortable around a client and provide safety training at your office.

It's time for a mid-year checkup

The Houston Association of REALTORS® suggests you look in to the following areas during your checkup--your business plan, finances, marketing, customer service, agents and management. "Brokers from Houston and other healthy markets would be well served to include in their mid-year status check a close look at the circumstances currently being experienced by brokers in other markets who were not prepared for the realities of the 2006 market."
