Beating high gas prices

Gas prices keep going up. How can you save money? Real estate agents are making some changes in their routine--consolidating errands, scanning and e-mailing documents, charging retainer fees, reducing the number of homes previewed by customers and encouraging customers to use the Internet. "To help conserve fuel, brokers are also cutting back on the number of homes they preview, or visit without a buyer. Rod Eller, the branch manager for the Oakwood office of Prudential Carolinas Realty in Winston-Salem, said his office has seen about an 8 percent drop in the number of previews during the last few months."
