Incentives may end up costing future home buyers

Buy a home, get a car. The percentage of homeowners throwing in incentives to make their properties more attractive to sell has grown during the current buyer’s market. Incentives, however, may be making it harder for appraisers to assess home values, according to the Chicago Tribune. Practices such as throwing a car into the deal may be boosting the final sales price but that price may not accurately reflect the true value of the property.
